Text Message Privacy
How mobile numbers and texting consent are handled for the text messages churches send through Gather Hub.
What is kept
Your mobile number and your name as your church recorded them; whether you agreed to receive texts, and when, where and under which wording you agreed; and a record of the texts sent to you and whether they were delivered.
How it is used
Only to send you the church's messages, and to show the church who has agreed to receive them. Your number is used by your church and by no one else.
Never shared for marketing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Who handles it for us
Amazon Web Services stores the data and sends the messages on our behalf, and mobile carriers carry each text to your phone. Neither may use your number for any purpose of its own.
Stopping
Reply STOP at any time, or ask your church to stop texting you. Once you stop, your agreement is withdrawn and the record of when you gave it is removed.
Questions
Write to your church at the contact address shown on its sign-up page, or to us at privacy@gather-hub.com.
