Text Message Terms
The terms for text messages that churches send their members and guests through Gather Hub.
Who sends the texts
Text messages are sent by the church you signed up with. Each church sends from its own phone number, using Gather Hub, the church management software it runs on, and every message names the church it comes from. No other church sends from that number.
What you will receive
Messages about the church's life that you asked for: confirmations and check-in tickets for events you register for, event reminders, invitations, surveys and requests for feedback after events, and occasional updates from the church. Church staff and volunteers may also receive reminders about tasks assigned to them. Message frequency varies.
Signing up
You sign up by ticking an unchecked box on one of your church's forms -- its text sign-up page, a connect card, or an event registration -- or by telling church staff, who then record your agreement. You receive a text confirming it straight away. Agreeing is not a condition of any purchase, of registering for an event, or of membership.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. Neither your church nor Gather Hub charges you for receiving texts.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that number. You may receive one final message confirming it. To receive texts again, sign up again with your church.
Help
Reply HELP to any message for help. You can also write to your church at the contact address shown on its sign-up page, or to us at support@gather-hub.com.
Delivery
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
How your mobile number and your agreement are handled is described in the Text Message Privacy notice at https://gather-hub.com/sms-privacy/. In short: they are used only to send you your church's messages, and they are never shared for marketing.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version applies to messages sent after it is published on this page.
